Ford EcoBoost Timing Belt / Cambelt Replacement

Book your Service, MOT or Repair

Timing belts, also known as cambelts, are officially due every 10 years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first) on the Ford EcoBoost engines, however we are seeing increasing numbers of these timing belts failing significantly earlier than that. We therefore recommend replacement every 8 years or 80,000 miles. Should your timing belt snap, this can cause catastrophic damage to your engine, resulting in an expensive rebuild process, or worst still, a replacement engine.

Most independent garages won't touch the EcoBoost cambelts. However, W. Jones have invested in all the required tooling and training and now consider ourselves experts in the replacement of these timing belts. We offer a fixed price of £1000 on this job, which includes the replacement of your timing belt, water pump, oil pump drive belt, other ancillary parts (bolts/gaskets etc) and an oil & filter change with your service book stamped. As this is a major job, we will require your car for 24 hours, and as such can provide a courtesy vehicle should you want. For reference, a Ford main dealer usually quote £2000 for the wet timing belt replacement.
